Tata Group to Establish £4 Billion Gigafactory for Electric Vehicle Batteries in the UK, Pioneering Clean Mobility Solutions

  The Tata Group has unveiled a groundbreaking plan to construct its first-ever gigafactory for electric vehicle batteries outside of India, right in the UK. With a staggering investment of £4 billion, this state-of-the-art facility is set to become one of Europe's largest battery cell manufacturing hubs and is scheduled to commence operations in 2026, producing an impressive 40 GWh of cells. Focused on sustainability and cutting-edge technology, the gigafactory aims to deliver top-notch, high-performance, and eco-friendly battery cells and packs. South Korea Commits $483 Billion Investment to Electronics Sector, Targets Semiconductors, EV Batteries, Displays, and Bio Industry

  South Korea is making a bold move to bolster its electronics sector with a massive investment of $483 billion over the next two decades. The ambitious plan includes the establishment of seven new industrial complexes, strategically aimed at boosting four key industries deemed critical for the nation's growth: semiconductors, electric vehicle batteries, display panels, and the bio industry. The selected sites for the complexes are Yongin and Pyeongtaek in Gyeonggi, and Gumi in North Gyeongsang, focused on the semiconductor sector. For electric vehicle batteries, the sites will be located in Ulsan, Cheongju in North Chungcheong, Saemangeum in North Jeolla, and Pohang in North Gyeongsang. It is used for solving the regression problem in machine learning.
