1. Faction (noun): A group within a larger group, especially one with slightly different ideas from the main group: (गुट, दल)
Synonyms: Clique, Coterie, Caucus, Cabal, Division, Branch
Antonyms: Total, Entirety, Whole, Conformity
Example: The party has several factions inside it, which can lead to its division.

2. Dilemma (noun): A situation in which a difficult choice has to be made between two different things you could do: (दुविधा, कशमकश, असमंजस)
Synonyms: Quandary, Predicament, Plight, Problem, Conundrum
Antonyms: Solution, Answer, Advantage, Benefit
Example: She faces the dilemma of disobeying her father or losing the man she loves.

3. Salvage (verb): To try to make a bad situation better: (नुक़सान होने से बचाना, बचाना)
Synonyms: Save, Redeem, Rescue, Recover, Retrieve,
Antonyms: Lose, Waste, Harm, Endanger
Example:  After the fraud scandal he had to make great efforts to salvage his reputation..

4. Bolster (verb): To support or improve something or make it stronger. (मजबूती देना, प्रोत्साहित करना)
Synonyms: Buttress, Reinforce, Support, Strengthen, Boost
Antonyms: Weaken, Undermine, Discourage, Prevent, Obstruct
Example: She tried to bolster my confidence  by telling me that I had a special talent.

5. Entrenchment (noun): A position protected by trenches. (मोरचा)
Synonyms: Fortification, Establishment, Moat, Trench, Ditch, Fosse
Example: Within the entrenchment stood ten guns that were being fired through openings in the earthwork.

National Movement of India: 1920 to 1930

Chauri Chaura Incident (1922) A mob of people at Chauri Chaura (near Gorakhpur) clashed with police and burnt 22 policemen on February 5, 1922. This compelled Gandhiji to withdraw the Non Cooperation movement on Feb. 12, 1922. Simon Commission (1927) Constituted under John Simon, to review the political situation in India and to introduce further reforms and extension of parliamentary democracy.
